Jim Ruta is a distinguished leader in the life insurance profession, widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to advancing the industry. He has worked with some of Canada’s largest life insurance agencies, first as an agent and later as a senior manager, giving him exceptional experience and insight both within the industry and beyond.
He is an MDRT partner and a highly sought-after speaker. Jim is the author of four books and a respected columnist within the life insurance community. He has provided strategies and coaching to some of the world’s most accomplished advisors, including Van Mueller, George Sigurdson, Mark Halpern and Marc Silverman. Jim is also actively involved with the MDRT Academy and the Center for Field Leadership.

Jim first spoke in Hungary in April 2025, when, during a highly successful exclusive workshop organized by the Money and Culture Foundation, he officially announced the October 2025 Jubilee edition of the Budapest Life Insurance Summit.
Jim is one of the keynote speakers at the Congress. In his workshop the following day, he will explore the concept of Revelation Selling, particularly for professionals whose life insurance career ambitions extend beyond outstanding individual performance to mentoring and leadership.
