Attila Solymár is one of Hungary’s most successful life insurance sales professionals and advisors, an international speaker, and the founder of the Money and Culture Foundation and the Budapest Life Insurance Summit.

For nearly three decades, he has worked to raise the standards of the life insurance and financial advisory profession in Hungary and Central Europe to world-class levels, while playing a key role in building professional connections between the Hungarian and international insurance communities.

He has been a member of the international Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) organization since 2002 and is a Lifetime Member. Over the course of his career, he has achieved 25 years of MDRT membership, along with 15 Court of the Table (COT) and 9 Top of the Table (TOT) qualifications. Since 2026, he has been a Lifetime Achievement honoree of the North American Financial Hall of Fame. During nearly three decades as an advisor, he has built one of Hungary’s most outstanding individual life insurance portfolios, consistently achieving exceptional professional results over the long term.

He holds a degree in economics. Since 2001, he has led Bestens, an independent life insurance advisory firm in Hungary. Following the establishment of CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc., he became the company’s fourth-largest shareholder and, from 2009, served for three years as a member of its Supervisory Board, participating at the highest level of the insurance company’s governance and oversight structure.

From Professional Achievement to Social Mission

In 2009, he established the Money and Culture Foundation, whose mission is both social and professional. The Foundation provides support to children and their families who have lost a parent without the protection of life insurance, while also working to raise awareness of the social importance of life insurance.

Since 2018, the Foundation has also been active internationally, implementing professional and charitable initiatives across Central and Eastern Europe, Southern Europe and the Middle East.

From Hungary to the International Stage

From 2011, Attila represented Hungary in the international life insurance community for three years as MDRT Country Chair, and in 2014 he was appointed MDRT Ambassador.

He was the first Hungarian MDRT speaker to become a regular international presenter primarily on the strength of his own advisory achievements and sales experience built in the Hungarian market. Since then, he has shared his experience in numerous countries and at international professional forums, including Poland, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, the United Arab Emirates, China, Taiwan and Lebanon.

His presentations focus on life insurance sales, building long-term client relationships, improving individual and corporate sales performance and effectiveness, and sustainable business growth within the industry. Underlying all of these themes is his commitment to professional excellence and his belief that life insurance is not merely a financial product, but a social responsibility and a human mission.

Budapest Life Insurance Summit

In 2014, he founded the Budapest Life Insurance Summit with the aim of bringing the most outstanding thinkers, practitioners and speakers from the international life insurance profession to Hungary and making their knowledge directly accessible to professionals in Hungary and across the region. From the very beginning, one of the Summit’s core principles has been knowledge import: bringing the knowledge, experience and best practices of the world’s most successful life insurance professionals directly to Hungary and the Central European region.

The Summit has become one of Central Europe’s leading professional platforms for the life insurance industry, with its Annual Congress recognized internationally as one of the region’s most significant and prestigious annual industry events. Over the years, more than 4,000 financial and insurance professionals have attended the Summits, while nearly 40 world-renowned speakers from the international insurance profession have taken the Summit stage.

The Budapest Life Insurance Summit Annual Congress has become more than a conference: it is an international professional community connecting the leading figures and the next generation of the life insurance profession across generations and national borders.

Knowledge That Must Be Passed On

As a speaker and mentor, Attila places particular emphasis on supporting the next generation. His mentoring program has helped develop numerous financial advisors who later went on to achieve MDRT membership through their own outstanding performance.

At the heart of his professional philosophy are passing on knowledge, sharing best practices, preserving human and professional values, and developing a new generation of advisors who regard responsibility, ethics and protecting their clients’ interests as fundamental values of the profession alongside outstanding performance.
